The Fruhers

The 9th month in the Persian calender is the month of fire (in Persian atash). This month smells of blood. Blood of Fruhers (their name in Persian means the holly fire and also the divine royal glory). The Fruhers were murdered in cold blood in a very gruesome way that actually few people know about; but I rather not describe. They were leaders of the Nationalist Party of Iran. Darius Fruher (right) was famous for being a tall, strong chap. His murderers were so scared of him, at the age of 70, they had to send a whole unit to murder him. He was killed after hearing Parvaneh (left) screaming whilst being stabbed repeatedly. The security services later had to issue a statement and take responsibility but dissed the murderers as dissidents. All murderers have been released since.

Kurdestan

A country of old legends. Land of nobel people. A beautiful history since Medians, the first empire in its modern sense. The empire on which model Persians and Greeks, and later Persians and Romans built their societies. God save Kurdestan.

I am a "Berliner"

The beautiful autumn of Berlin and my amazing moments of love ...

Unassuming Bertolt Brecht

Next to his beloved wife Helen (Weigel) Brecht, Bertolt Brecht is resting in this unassuming grave in the corner of a quiet cemetery in the centre of (Eastern) Berlin. I was walking this beautiful cemetery when accidentally came across his resting place. I was blown away when told, its really Brecht lying here: no memorial, no extravagant headstone... of course, he remained a life-long committed Marxist.
